ZWO ASI178MC - Dead?

Hey guys,

I use my ASI178MC for planetary photo but mainly for guiding and while I was shooting yesterday, it looked like i got big thick cloud as I lost my guide star but it was crispy clear outside. Now when I connect the camera to Sharpcap, PHD2 or Firecapture it just shows black screen and does't react to light at any settings. Sometimes it flashes with red pattern and that is all. I've encountered with this once before and contacted zwo (they said it's unstable components) but the problem went away over night by itself. Not in this case. Any ideas how to fix it?

Probably best to return it to the supplier for repair, maybe under warranty ??

It is, I was asking just to see if someone has experienced it. I would love to see some easy fix as this would mean not shooting anything for a month or more.

I have the ASI178MM, but have never seen anything like this, nor with any of my other ZWO cameras, past or present. It does not sound like something that has an easy fix, unfortunately
