Looking foward to the Leonids, again!

Recommended Posts

I had high hopes for a good showing last year, but was rewarded with a slow night. Hopefully this year's peak will be better.

When I read about the storm '66, I dream of seeing 1000 meteors a minute.

Would make a very fitting birthday present.

Reports are saying that there'll be no storm this year!

I discovered something new last night whilst looking for meteors?

Now that the street lights have  been converted to LED's, my environment is much darker, and from the guest room, I had the most perfectly framed view of Ursa Major and Castor / Pollux, with Leo below my skyline, so I just lay in wait.
I observed the time as ten past midnight, but felt the eyes closing, and don't remember anything else until 0920 ?

I hope to be outside later with recliner and  binoculars, but not expecting a great show.
