A quick animation of comet 64P

Recommended Posts

Is this the one that should become a bit more prominent than the usual cometary visitors ??

I've  heard    "magnitude 3"  and "naked eye"  been used in descriptions......   which would be something to look forward to.

Nice one Helen! It certainly appears to be a ‘slow’ mover... have you calculated a speed? I bet it’s still pretty darn impressive!

No, this isn’t the imminent ‘bright one’, that is 46P/ Wirtanen. It reaches perihelion on 12th December and will hopefully be impressive in Taurus, visible soon after dark, so nice and sociable!
