TS/GSO 10 inch Dob

Just ordered a GSO 10 inch Dob from Telescop Service.

I decided that a 10 inch scope would be as large as I want to handle either in and out of the house or in/out of the car. It was then a question of who's 10 inch scope to order...

After reading quite a few reviews from various people scattered across the globe I decided on the GSO from TS. Optically there didn't seem a lot in it unless I went for virtually handmade optics (budget didn't go that far) so mechanics became the next priority. The GSO scope/mounting has good handling reviews and having used dobs in the past where stickiness in the movement took pleasure out of the observations, I thought the lazy Susan bearings were better than most. It's focuser also has good reviews so at this stage I'm happy with my choice.

Will do a review once the scope arrives and I can show it some starlight. - Currently out of stock so it will be a while...

Nice one - Enjoy!  The GSO dobs do seem to have a very good reputation. I have a 10" dob too (though it is from Synta) and it has shown me so much - great size
