Two Views of an ISS Pass - 28-09-2018

Recommended Posts

The ISS is back over our patch of Earth in its five-ish week 'ugly orbit' periodic pattern. I was up at the West Kennet Long Barrow on Friday evening (28th) and caught it going by, along with flight whatever to Heathrow or wherever. I rather liked the idea of the Long Barrow, constructed somewhere around 3650 BC, contrasting with the hardware-busy skies of 2018 AD. I also add an alternative view of the ISS and airplane from the all sky camera outside my observatory, a few miles down the road from the Long Barrow.

Great shot Gav. The plane actually adds nicely to it, and the setting against Long Barrow is fab.

Thanks Stu. Absolutely, the plane was a lucky addition. I wasn’t sure if their intersection was going to be out the top of the frame or not, but happily it was just in frame.
