My scopes DAMP.

Ahhh!

During the hallf time break off West ham v Arsenal I put my scope outside to cool as it was really clear.

Watching second half and fell asleep.

Woke up with 5 minutes to go and it's raining.

Run outside in with no shoes on and bought scope back in. Slightly damp.

Use lot's of kitchen towel to soak up the worst of it, leave the optics alone and hopefully it'll be dry by morning.

It's peeing down here too. It was looking good a couple of hours back and the forecast says it'll clear around 2am. I'll believe it when I see it.

I would not worry both my scopes have suffered in the same way

As Astronut said let the optics dry naturally after all it is only water.

Only water?! That stuff's deadly - why else does it need diluting with Scotch?!

Thats one thing thats frightens me not so much for the scope but for the mount. I just wonder how water proof the skyscan handset is

All was ok. it dried out fine.
