m39 awful newtonian refractor stars

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

Really awful stars. With a muddy Mediterranean haze to penetrate, I'm hoping that this along with the 30º ambient and hot dslr to match are responsible. It looks like it's been taken with a refractor:(

Anyone seen this effect before? Cures? The stars from the 10" Newtonian are usually really nice. Disappointing.

Cheers and clear skies.
