Should work with a DSLR with no fiddling, so 10mm for T ring + 45mm standard DSLR flange to chip = 55 mm ... ish !

The ZWO EFW is 20mm, The 1600 is 6.5 mm to chip so in theory you need to add about 28.5mm spacer to equate to a DSLR.

Yes, as knobby mentioned, you need to account for 55mm of optical path.

6.5mm is T2 to sensor distance on ASI1600, and if EFW is 20mm, then you have about 28.5mm. You will need T2 to M48 adapter and I recommend you to use some sort of variable extension that will put you in 26-30mm range so you can "dial" in correct spacing by trial and error.
