Gerry Casa Christiana
Hello all Im just trying to do M106 480 sec subs but the APT shot seems to be quite noisy. Will I be better off lowering the sub length? Or as I'm doing this long will I get better signal to noise? Just don't want to waste a clear night. david_taurus83
It looks noisy cause you've stretched the image? The camera temp is increasing also with those lengths?
Gerry Casa Christiana
Yes might be in the end I left it. See what comes out. Summer AP is too late for me.
david_taurus83
Could be worse. I had a go at M3 Saturday night. Only 60s exposures but the bit of black tape I had over the camera viewfinder fell off. Gradient Central!!!
Gerry Casa Christiana
I shouldn't laugh really do you get gradients from that? That's interesting
david_taurus83
Yrs I have 3 streetlights overlooking my garden. There is a little rubber cap that fits over the viewfinder but I don't have one.
Gerry Casa Christiana
Yes I use it on mine but am lucky enough to not have any street lamps within 500 metres or so. Gerry
