brrttpaul
Hi guys, when you have two telescopes connected together with tube rings, (in my case a MAK 127 and an ED 80) how do you line them up so they both centered on the same star? my ed 80 is bang on centre using plate solver, and although the star is in the field of view on my MAK its far to the right, anyway of doing it so they both centred? Davey-T
There's the cheap way, filing holes and making shims from drinks cans, the expensive way, buying an adjustable dovetail mount from FLO ( JTD saddle ) or if you're into DIY making your own, about £30.00 for materials. brrttpaul
Thx davey, been thinking of it and what I will do is centre the higher mag one which is on the bottom then adjust the ed 80 to roughly the centre by packing it out slightly, Its not critical for me ATM as I wont be running both at the same time, one is for luner/planetary other is for DSO. Just would have been a lot nicer if they happened to be perfectly spot on
