Few proms today

Few proms out today top right left a nice one spewing out plenty a nice hedge Rowe at 4to 6 o'clock first proper outing with the Lunt 80 and the 75ls stacked together the  beauty is even with binoviwers the image is still nice and bright

There were a lot of proms visible in my PST converted 6" f/8 over last few days. [Effectively 5" f/10] 

One particularly tall pair yesterday were difficult to define but there were several bold 'curtain' types and even some bright "volcano cones" on the limb.

I can now use a star diagonal, which I freely rotate to reach more easily with my eye.

It's often above eye level so image orientation is a nightmare!

I'd really value some easy way to confirm the Sun's N, S, E & W for reporting interesting features.

I'm sure many others here would like a guide too but were afraid to ask!  :icon_biggrin:
