sorry if this has been covered but need a reliable answer on d5300 mod

Hi all i own a nikon d5300 which is fairly new now i pretty good with my hands and have a good electronic understanding so im thinking of modding the camera myself, 

now i want the mod to increase the Ha response but also i would like to still use the camera for normal daytime photography with my lenses so is this possible? please... second question do i just remove the hot mirror glass and replace with clear or not bother or do i have to use uv/ir glass instead thanks in advance. john

Herra Kuulapaa on this forum has done a lot of work modding Nikons, might be worth doing a search of some of his posts in the DIY astronomer forum.

to hell with it im going to mod it and keep the glass safe and i can put it back to how it was when i can afford a decent one shot cooled cam!!

Hi, how did you get on with the Mod?

I have the same camera and would like to modify it but i have yet to find any step by step instructions on how its done.
