WinJupos and long videos

It seems it is possible to load a long video into winjupos, say 10 minutes of Jupiter, and it does something to the video before the user then stacks the video in AS!2. What does it do to the video to allow the stacking software to then use any frames it want from the 10 minute file to produce a sharp, “derotated” image? I can see how winjupos handles pre-stacked inages, wrapping and overlapping them around a globe of the planet, but unsure what it does with video.
