Mirror spring clean

I bravely washed my 10" mirror today.

It was filthy! Covered in sticky insect debris and stuff. All shiny and new now.

Can you give us a breakdown how you cleaned it effectively without introducing microscratches?

I just washed it with purified water, roughly following the instructions on the Sky and Telescope website
