Skywatcher EQM-35 Pro

Hi All,

I am thinking of purchasing the new Skywatcher EQM-35 Pro Modular Mount as a upgrade from my Star Adventurer, this will be my first equatorial mount, i will be using it with my William Optics ZS61 scope, what are the pros and cons of this mount ?

It is a bit of a new kid on the block, so hard to say how it will perform. It should be suitable for your ZS61. I was thinking of getting the EQM35 as replacement for my EQ3-2 which handles my APM 80 mm F/6 triplet easily (including ST80 guidescope, etc).

What sort of exposures are you getting from your EQ3-2 ?

At the moment I have been going up to 120s (with ASI178MM as autoguider). I simply haven't tried anything longer yet

I have gotten solid 5 minute exposures with mine, but under really good conditions, and i have stripped and rebuilt it completely.

The EQM-35 looks really interresting for people looking for a travel mount.
