Quick Session, small Lunar report

Recommended Posts

Tonight finally clear skies so I went out with the SW130P flextube.

There just a little haze round the moon but lets go!

First in the eyepiece the beautiful Montes Apenninus, it's like the mountain tops are covered with snow.

Right away Mons Piton catches the eye, standing like a bright white solitary mountain in the Mare Imbrium. Montes Spitzbergen laying exactly on the terminator,  only the mountain tops covered in sunlight.

Next three of my favorite craters, Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus and Arzachel. The last one showing it's central peak in full sunlight.

Always the best views on a 50% illuminated moon.

Finally I made a picture through eyepiece together with my daughter, she likes these moon session too but only for 2 minutes (too cold)!

Greetings Gert
