Stub Mandrel
Got this last night. I won't go through all my trials and tribulations, but very poor transparency made the LP intrusive so the outer arms were very hard to bring out. At the end of it this is 1:25 of 5-minute subs, astro-modded and cooled Canon 450D, 130P-DS, EQ3 mount, with home made goto box and home made guidescope with ASI120MC. Processed in Photoshop and Astra Image. Cropped about 50%, but left big enough to show the little mag. 12 NGC2916 at top left and a tiny galaxy (far, far away) just below it that isn't identified by astrometry.net. This is now a wider crop, and by leaving our bias frames I've got rid of the 'horizontal furriness' caused by noisy bias frames. You can also just see a very faint galaxy down and to the left of NGC2903.
