Bright debris burn up or meteor

This is my first observing report , 15 minutes ago while fiddling with finder scope.  07:15 pm cst brilliant blue meteor or debris with white sparks traveling from Procyon to moon.  Bright enough to see through thin layer of cloud.  Traveled about quarter of distance between both.  Duration nearly 3 seconds.  Best I've seen live to date !

Yes I get emails from Calsky letting me know like the attached two recent reports.  How do you verify if one did decay and position?

Not sure

Most night go looking, and see nothing when receive the report

Suppose depends on size of the debris/space junk

The interesting wording is could de-orbit

Side note

We got totally rained out night before last for the lunar eclipse

Was visible entire Australia from 10pm until 2am, with peak of the eclipse at 1130pm

My club had arranged public viewing night, including local television stations

That stinks you got rained out, moon was setting in West early morning for me.  Too low for observing at my site.
