Reducer/flattener

Do i must use reducer or field flattener with skywatcher 80/600?

It is f7.5 (i think) so not the fastest but not the slowest...and with reducer (0.8) it will go down to f6 so not a big diference..

If you are talking about the matching sw reducer/flattener, then remember it not only reduces but also corrects the image so you get good round stars all the way to the edge of the fov. For AP I would say yes..

If you want to do photography: yes, it matters, get the reducer/flattener. You want the stars at the edge to be as sharp as those in the middle. The added speed will also help.

It also matters if you are older and your eyes can't accommodate enough to compensate for a curved focal plane.

If your eyes are still okay and you don't want to do photography, don't get the flattener/reducer.
