The Sun mostly in Calcium-K with a bit of Ha 07/01/18

Hi,

Last day so I thought I might as well try Hydrogen Alpha after getting my brekkie Calcium-K.  Basically with my broken mount (I have the Alt motor and gearbox as the AZ and nothing on the Alt) I have to perfectly balance the scope and adjust for Alt by hand, letting the sun drift whilst making manual adjustments to AZ, using the wrong buttons on the handset.  Calcium-K is reasonably straight forward, line the sun up and then take 3 panes, adjusting the mount between each pane.  The only difficulty a tree and cloud, but once set up all three panes can be grabbed in around 90 seconds.

Ha, apart from drifting through the field of view much quicker needs a flat taking and that needs the focuser moved out, which requires an adjustment to the Alt balance.  Add to this the need to keep moving the scope and the tree which seems to follow me everywhere I went this morning it feels like to much hard work considering I am on holiday.  Oh well, last image, we come back tomorrow and the skies at home don't often come clear on a weekend so here we go.

Not my greatest shot in Ha and not much to see, but I wanted to get something to justify lugging all of the kit here.
