Starting the year as I mean to go on.

Lots of cloud but lots of substantial clear bits and reasonable seeing/transparency too. Had a bit of vis up around the north western limb then captured these.

Very nice. I wish I'd had skies as clear as they must have been for you.

I only hope the weather cooperates on the 31st, when we get a second chance at FM in one month;  if you're in the right place, it's a full Lunar Eclipse, too. Quite a bit of special with it: Supermoon, Blue Moon, and total eclipse, all in one. I won't see the eclipse, it's not supposed to start until just after moonset here.

Nice image John. When the full moon is often seen as a curse, its good to see a positive side.
