Converting mp4 to avi for registax

Hi all, 

I'm fairly new to astronomy/astro imaging. I have seen on many websites etc about converting a inexpensive webcam for astrophotography. I've got my head round the hardware side of things and where to source the parts. The only issue I have is where to download a decent mp4 to Avi converter so I can use the images in registax. Does anyone know of any converters which aren't limited trials or just downright useless! Thanks in advance. Paul K

Download PIPP . This will convert mp4 to avi and lots more.

Or if your camera can be seen by  Sharpcap or Firecapture and capture in avi.

A program called Format Factory is worth a look.

It's free, can do all sorts of conversions and seems to work well...
