AZ EQ5 GT to pc

Hi Everyone,

Getting a bit confused regarding connecting a Skywatcher AZ EQ5GT to my pc. Do I need a Lynx Astro FTDI EQDIR USB Adapter or can I simply use the USB port on the mount to connect to the USB on my pc with a USB A to USB B cable?  Spent ages searching for an answer but can't seem to get one.
