alacant
Hi everyone One step closer with the -borrowed- OAG. Im now officially at the I-want-one stage. Despite gusts of wind, I got round stars on every light frame, and although the size of the stars was poor on some frames, the ones where the wind subsided were promising. A little disappointed too not to catch a little nebulosity as the cluster is quite close to the heart nebula. Maybe longer exposures? Thanks for looking and clear skies. 700d and t7m on nt150l 17x120s @ISO800

Galen Gilmore
I really like how the stars in your images look! They almost look vintage, if that make sense?
Gerry Casa Christiana
Hello Alacant What was the solution for you to get the stars round? Where was the problem? Thanks
alacant
2 hours ago, Gerry Casa Christiana said: solution for you to get the stars round Hi. I used an OAG. The problem was flex in the tube and mirror movement. At least that's what the PHD2 gurus told me. BTW, this is only noticeable at long focal lengths. I'm fine up to 800mm with a separate guide telescope. HTH.
alacant
Hey, I found some nebulosity. StarTools Develop rather than GIMP stretch-and-hope! Not sure I like it though. I'm gonna need loads more frames to see it properly:(
