Just popped out to see if it had stopped snowing - very bright double star in a place I have never seen  a double star!

The pair are approx at 310 degrees True and approx 30 degrees above horizon - one is blue - the other orangey red - separated by about 1/4 degree - blue brighter than the  red.

I am at 57 degrees North and 6 degrees West - observed at 22.57 hrs UT

Nothing on Stellarium to suggest what I have seen.

Any ideas
