Has anybody experience of using Noise Ninja in Photoshop CC?

Has anybody had any experience of using the current version of "Noise Ninja" in Photoshop CC?

 

I have tried the trial version and do not understand how the plug-in works to remove the background noise properly. I have also tried the legacy version but it seems to throw up errors while opening up the channels in PS.

 

I currently use Noel Carboni's  "Astronomy Tools" set of actions in PS  with some success .... I am just wondering if it is worthwhile continuing to spend time (and extra money) with Noise Ninja.

 

Any comments and thoughts?

I've not used noise ninja but I use nik's collection, define 2 and find it works well and just works.

Best of all its free.
