You should not be charged any cost for returning the damaged items or for the new one to arrive.

For what it is worth, I go with @tooth_dr   If you showed your supplier those pictures they should have offered a full replacement not just the case without having to be asked and/or pushed.

Very poor show :( Sorry for your troubles.

Update

They replied now; A new scope will be sent today, and the other one will be picked up by dhl on monday. So relieved!
