6V power supply

Can anyone recommend a 6V power supply. The mount I have just bought runs off 4xD cell batteries and I don't think they are going to last very long. Or is it possible to change the voltage of a 12V power supply?

You can use one of these to change 12 volts to 6 volts

The SW mounts like the EQ3/5 with the basic 6V drives run quite happily off 5V mobile phone power banks, you can get a 11000 mAH one for a few pounds but you will need to make up a lead.
