Dobsonian Mount improvement tips

Hi all, been reading this community site for a while after getting my SW 150p dob, looks like this could be the place for expert advices!

i recently upgraded to the SW200p dob and may be because it's little heavier, the movement of he dob mount is quite kranky, I can not move the scope without jolting it into a bigger movement.

Anyone DIY/Modded their mount and can share what I can do to make the dob mount move smoother and more effortlessly?

Really look forward to hearing your experiences and suggestions!!

Jerkiness is usually a sign that something has been done up too tightly. If the issue is in azimuth then the bolt through the centre of the base can be slackened off sightly. For altitude the twist handle on the side can adjust it. Beyond that the modifications mentioned above will be required.
