When will the moon be visible ?

I realise that the moon wont be "full moon" for around another 10 days, but was wondering when it will be visible in the night sky, so i can try some imaging using my new webcam.

Looking at Stellarium I reckon about the 11th or 12th to the south will be the best time to look. Probably too light/low before that.

But i'm keen to put my new scope to good use and get some snaps of the moon

I saw the moon day before yesterday and it was very very low.

My lad wants to see the moon again, i said that he wouldn't really be able to see it untill Sunday or Monday at the earliest.

It is very very low, at this phase at this time of year.

Anytime from the 14th of this month around 23-00 hours the moon should be getting over 30 degrees.

Another option is two for the price of one, except that they are both free.

Weather Watcher also has the moon phases.

I also have an Apple iTouch. There's a free lunar Phases application available. I downloaded it last night and it looks pretty good.
