wimvb
Hubble's variable nebula (NGC 2261, Caldwell 46) is a reflection nebula in Monoceros. The variability is caused by the star which illuminates this nebula. Theory suggests that this nebula was created by the central star expelling matter which interacted with the interstellar dust surrounding it. wimvb
Thanks, Chris. The LT data is a great way to train processing. For the next few months, collecting my own data will be out of the question; nights are just too bright up here.
