Mono M51 from Kelling

Ten minutes of imaging time was all the weather and technical gremlins would give me at this years Spring Star Party at Kelling. This is 2 x 5 minute light subs stacked in DSS and had Auto Levels applied in Photoshop. Atik 460ex camera on TEC140.

Ten minutes?  That's incredible.   An amazing image for such a short time,

Cheers guys. It surprised me how much came through in such a short time. When I compared it with over two hours worth of DSLR subs of the same length on the same target from last year there was no comparison at all.

Excellent that you grabbed an image - what night did you manage to capture this?

I left on Sunday - when I got home my blood ran cold when I saw the radar looked like it was clear over Kelling that night! LOL!

Yeah I know David. This image was captured on Tuesday night. We had "clear spells" for about 4 hours but at some points the clouds were coming across every few minutes.
