Hi everyone, does anybody have any knowledge as to the performance of this camera TS-Optics TSSSi it currently sells at around £65 on ebay and is supplied from Germany. Looks good on paper and I've supplied a link which I hope works;

It looks like the original Celestron Neximage which itself was basically a rehoused Philips Toucam Pro webcam.

Specs look the same as the Philips SPC900NC as well, but this claims to be a USB 2.0 version, rather than USB 1.1. It does use a CCD, but the sensitivity is less than that of many modern CMOS chips. Its frame rate is a bit low, suggesting it really might be a USB 1.1 under the hood. You can certainly get nice lunar and planetary images with it, but there are more modern cameras that outperform it.

The Neximage apparently was a usb 2.0 device, this was the main difference between it and the Toucam. The camera is about 10 years old now so things have moved on since then

I opted for a Neximage 2nd Gen, at £70 new, as a step back into solar system imaging with my 8inch Orion Dob., i thought it was a safe step?
