Advice Needed

Hi,

Just quick before I start setting up, I have perfect visibility (no mist, no fog, only 85% humidity), but the moon is a bit close to Orion for M42. Should Bode's Nebulae (M81 & 82) be ok, or are they too faint and will be blocked out by the moon? They are away from streetlights atm, and look high up enough. I will be imaging with 900mm focal length scope and DSLR.

M81/ 82  will be just about over head  and away from the Moon . try it and see.

Thanks for the reply! Now hopefully there are no clouds lurking behind the houses just waiting for when I have painstakingly carried out 35 kg of equipment.....  

 

Edit: THERE WERE.......   CLOUD + RAIN = Weather in the South-West

Oh no! Poor you. Had that happen to me often. Astronomers are rather philosophical!
