Tonight's target was this rather faint cluster in Orion. Also a Herschel object. Very faint and hard to detect even in the 12" in poorish conditions. I had to check images and go back to the scope to confirm the object which I then sketched and confirmed. A tough object in the conditions and with quite a lot of light pollution at my site.

Cool! A cluster named after one of my favourite Rush albums 2112. Wonder if the Solar Federation know about this? Hehe! ;)

Nice sketch. Well done! :)

If the weather permits tonight I'll see if I can see it in one of my 'fracs, most likely the ST120 which has the largest aperture.
