Finally after 4 years a CCD

After nearly 4 years of imaging I have finally got a CCD.

Got an Atik 383L off a member and intend to do some narrow band, starting with Ha and will see how it goes.
Here it is attached to my Canon 70-200mm L.

Could'nt get out to obsy tonight so gave it a quick test indoors.
Just aimed it at some cards on a wall and took a 10sec exposure thorough an Ha filter.

It will be great to get back to serious imaging after doing nothing much last year.
Hoping the narrow band will negate the large increase in LP.

It makes such a difference. I was out last night with a full moon doing some Oiii.

Hopefully at the weekend I will get it setup in the obsy.

I'm going to try with the Canon 70-200mm and image around 135mm, the L lens can run wide open
at that FL and is good across the frame, will be interesting if there is any vignetting with the 1.25"
Astrodon at f/2.8. Have got the filter right up close to the front glass of the ccd, fingers crossed.
