Orions belt & sword

Had a stab at this while in Wales over xmas at a fairly dark location.

This is only around 8 x 180 sec subs, and a similar amount of darks.

Sony A57 with 70-300mm zoom lens @ 150mm i think. Mounted on the Star Adventurer. I need a dew shield for my lens as it misted up after these subs were taken.

DSS, lightroom and Photos on MacBook pro.I have also cropped it to improve the framing.

 "snap",great shot mate, I got one earlier on in the year framed just the same, its my fav DS target, I used a unmodded 1200d and a super-tak "vintage" 35/135 lens from my home which is in a dark site in wales. well done you have caught it very nicely.  charl.

I thought I could make out the horse head, very faintly. Need to have another go at some point with more/longer exposures.
