I had a chance last Winter to have a look through a friend's Skyliner 300P Dob. The view I had of a number of DSOs was just superb. So much better than what could be seen through my 8" LX90.

It got me thinking, but the Dob was just too big to site easily in the car (It would go, but apart from me and the Dob, not much else would fit in). Then the Skyliner 300p Flex Tube arrived on the market. I read the comments about it in magazines and on this Forum. A week ago I 'phoned up Steve at FLO and ordered one. I then told the wife and took her away for a short break last weekend (+ bought her a bit of jewellery that she lusted after). Whew - all okay - I am completely broke, but no problem aboiut the Dob.

Steve 'phoned me up today and said my Dob was arriving at the importer tomorrow and would be dispatched on Wednesday, to be delivered at my Work (a hospital) on Thursday (The Receptionist staff will be surprised).

I can't wait to get out and start using it. My apologies for the bad weather over the next two weeks.

Probably yes, Martin. Anne is away from Friday - Sunday, so I am a free man.
