Dr_Ju_ju
There are 2 holes, one adjacent to the 'North' leg and one directly opposite between the other 2 legs. This is incase you have any issues with the weights being able to knock the leg...
Starlight 1
Well its going in the astro shed so I not be useing the mount , I set the mount up to make some ajustments and when I remove my tak it started to tip over so this is why Ilike useing the north leg for weights. Dr_Ju_ju
Well.... I'd always recommend that the mount is securely bolted to the tripod before putting\taking OTA's etc. on\off the mount, but we have all done it......
Chris Murray
hia, set up the mount, add the couter weights and slide them all the way up the shaft, mount the ota then slide the weights down to ballance, mark where weights are with electrical tape so you can repeat this easely, you should be ok setting up like this, cheers
