A Niece, the Moon and a nice surprise

Had a niece over after school for tea and some music lessons this afternoon, she's also the one who's mad for the hobby but it was cloudy wet and 'horrible out so there was no chance, or so we thought.

Had to run out to the car and spotted clear skies so a mad rush to get setup in the front porch (which is less than ideal!!!) and Jess had her first go at some lunar imaging.

She did the lot, setup (with me on hand for heavy lifting), rough alignment, framing and focusing and capturing through to processing with a bit of guidance. Very happy uncle am I. :)

50% of 284 frames at 1/250s ISO 100 sorted, aligned and cropped in Pipp, best 60 as determined by AS!2 stacked with wavelets in Registax and finishing in PS. Not a bad effort for a ten year old I'm sure you'll agree.

As someone else said in another thread, 'liquid pride'
