alacant
Hi everyone. I'm slowly getting the hang of frames taken during multiple sessions but I'm struggling with both alignment and noise. I'm using APT to centre between sessions but still end up having to crop the edges a lot to remove the dss stacking overlaps. Here I'm on the limit; the next crop will almost certainly cut into the galaxy. Any advice on the alignment and/or getting rid of the noise most gratefully received. This is 2 nights with 11+12 snaps. Canon 700d.

John78
Astrotortilla lands it bang on the position of the old frame if you use the goto image function, so assuming your field isnt rotating between sessions (leave the camera attached to the scope) it should be easy. Whereas with a camera lens the centre of the frame is good enough, I can see that with longer telescopes it's gonna have to be plates all the way. Thanks for posting.
