Finally managed to get 1800s subs of this region.

6 x 1800s

10" RCT

Atik 4000

Astrodon 3nm HaII

A bit ham fisted - but I was pleased as a first real attempt.

Nothing obviously ham-fisted Ian as far as I can see.

Round stars and collimation looks good, delicately processed.  A great start.

The processing leaves a bit to be desired. I'm still learning about Layers - used to control Sadr and the bright region above as suggested by Sara and Olly. That was the ham fisted bit. ;-)

The time clearly is paying dividends - the shot has some lovely detail showing through especially the finer dust elements.

That's great. Letting a less stretched verson of the bright patch through makes all the difference. Not ham fisted in book either.
