Iainp
With the new moon just 2 days away, I wasn't sure there would be much to see, but I set the alarm for 5.30 this morning and was imaging before 6.00. These were taken between 6.05 and 6.15. by which time the moon was almost invisible in the brightening sky unless you looked right at it. Thank goodness for the Proplanet 742 IR filter! Rima Sirsalis, in the centre of the 3rd image, is 426km long. Iain Edited July 31, 2016 by Iainp
