Milky Way over the Rooftop

Taken at a farm in Slovakia. Settings were Rokinon 14mm, F/4, 30 Sec., ISO 1600 on a Canon 60D camera. I notice what could be a spiral galaxy near the bottom right edge of the frame.

Thanks for the heads up, baggywinkle. I just did a little research. It could indeed be the Andromeda Galaxy since the photo is facing northeast where Andromeda is located and it does appear as a faint smudge of light here as it should. At 2.5 million light years distant Andromeda is relatively close and like our Milky Way has hundreds of billions of stars.

Yes, nice shot. Andromeda Galaxy, Cassiopeia just above the roof and I think the Garnet Star is near the centre. Cygnus is just showing at the top.
