Not going to say too much about this one, I'm just going to post the picture.The TH workshops are busy, but I'll always find time for this sort of thing.......

Well if that’s just a quick going over Steve what would it have looked like if you had spent hours on it, where is the scope?

1859 A.Ross 4" air spaced achromat. Seen a lot of use, but I'm just repairing not restoring. With the mount, I have spent today making it work.

The one thing I hate about restoration work is that I can visualize what I could make it look like if it were mine and i had time, but it's not and i haven't. £60 an hour soon racks up and it's too easy to run away with it so you have to be cold and do just what's necessary.

Shame though, it could be really something, but I advised the owner not to let me restore it. It'd take too long, be too expensive and I'm just too busy.

That's a very nice example! what a mount!!! It must be hard limiting what you can do.
