Sundogs tonight

Fab sundogs tonight. Almost full circle around sun and circumzenithal arc (upside down over sun). It just got brighter and bigger.

The sundogs were spectacular from LHR, though I did not see the circumzenithal arc.

Super stuff. The lady running the merry-go-round at our village carnival this evening spotted one as well. She said "what amazing clouds - how do they do that?". So I explained, but even that didn't lead to her refunding the extortionate £3 a ride that she had the cheek to charge for my 4 year old's 5 minute turn....

Saw in Oxford as well - my first Sun Dog! Earlier at 7pm the Circumzenithal arc was seen but this had faded at 8pm when the light pillars were at their best.  The "artificial" Suns were seen clearly on both sides.  Spectacular!
