BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL FOR PLANETARIUM SHOWS AS SPACES ARE LIMITED to 20 people max per show.

The FREE 45 min PLANETARIUM SHOWS will be at
10am - 11am - 12noon
(Lunch break 1-2pm)
2pm - 3pm - 4pm

We are delighted to announce that Pete Williamson FRAS will be entertaining us with two Solar Talks during the day and bringing his solar telescopes and expertise to the event.
SPACES ARE LIMITED FOR THE TALKS TO 30 PER TALK
Talks scheduled for 11am and 2pm and being approx 1hr in length.
SOLAR TALKS MUST BE PRE BOOKED at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre so please phone the Rangers on 01597 810880

NO BOOKING NECESSARY FOR THE FOLLOWING...

If weather permits Elan Valley Astronomers will have specially filtered telescopes available for you to SAFELY observe the Sun yourself, both in white light and hydrogen alpha.

A home built radio telescope will let you 'hear' the Sun.

Watch video presentations about the Sun.

Displays with information about our nearest Star...the Sun.

Astrophotography display.

As usual. the Astronomy Centre will be open for this event from 10am. There will be a large selection of solar telescopes fro 40mm to 220mm aperture available.
