Optimum imaging time

As the shadows shorten or lengthen across the Moon they will tend to blur the image.  So what is the optimum imaging time beyond which this effect is noticeable, if at all at the kind of resolutions we amateurs manage?

It's rather not a problem as rarely one clip isn't recorded for longer than few minutes.
