Jupiter 14/5/16 daylight observation.

The seeing was excellent after a sunny but cooler day. After observing the first quarter  moon for a while, I sat back in my observing chair and my eye caught Jupiter in a blue sky just by chance. I swung the scope to it and was pleasantly  surprised at the steady detailed view. Despite the blue sky background, the contrast and definition was high.

Lovely Mike :icon_biggrin:

The seeing was very steady here as well. Very nice observing conditions and they probably still are, above the cloud layer that has now tiptoed across the sky from somewhere :rolleyes2:

Coffee time !
