not done any planetary imaging for a while thought id have a bash, not very good seeing 9.25 /2.5x powermate asi174

That is a nice image Craig considering the "seeing" at the moment, although  there have been a few fleeting moments of sharpness. I watched Io disappear at just before midnight. Mars is available now, so time to move from Jupiter.

Yeah I agree but I seemed to be getting more bad than good....sigh. mars is just about to come through trees so I'll be turning scope to him then hopefully saturn

Hi Craig,

Only a few moments on Mars before it went behind my neighbour's tree but it looked promising for later. I am on Saturn now, 95X and it is beautiful, only hints of Cassini, but those fleeting moments are showing  sharp detail. About an hour now before they both clear the tree, so I think time for a cuppa, and then a bit of Galaxy and Glob hunting.

I got about the same pic at the same time Craig, although I think yours shows slightly better detail and less noise.  Still a nice shot and a good warm up for Mars/Saturn.

Very good. Seeing is a bit pants @ the moment, thanks to the Jetstream.

Buying good kit these days is not  cheap Craig.
